The advantages of fiberglass swimming pool
Owning a
fiberglass swimming pool is expensive, but that is only the initial
investment. With almost no maintenance expenses, it is a smarter buy,
than a pool made of traditional materials.
Developed in the early twentieth
century, fiberglass is actually molten glass that has been spun into
strands and then sprayed into a wax mould, of a particular pool
shape, which has been sprayed with gel coating. At this point, the
strands of the fiberglass have been mixed with vinyl and/or
polyester resins are sprayed or hand rolled onto the gel surface.
This is done one layer at a time to achieve the required thickness
for the fiberglass swimming pool.
